12 Reasons We Love Food Trucks!

Merry Christmas, FoodTruckrs! We’ve had such a great time celebrating the holidays with you, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring you our twelfth and final post this morning.

Now, it’s no secret that we love food trucks—but today, we wanted to go into a little more detail and explain exactly why something as simple as a restaurant on wheels is so very special. With that in mind, we’re proud to present the 12 reasons we love food trucks!

1. Food trucks are delicious.

The first reason we love food trucks is an easy one—they’re delicious. From fusion foods to gourmet burgers to delectable desserts, food truck owners around the country are cooking up incredibly savory and crave-worthy foods. We love them all.

2. Food trucks make dreams come true.

Many people start food trucks because they love cooking and serving food, but there are hundreds of current and aspiring food truck owners who have chosen to pursue this industry because they want to work for themselves and operate their own businesses. Food trucks owners get to create their own destinies and make their own decisions. In short, food trucks offer freedom.

3. Food trucks offer plenty of room for creativity.

We’re continually amazed by all the incredible concepts food truck owners are coming up with. From bacon trucks to waffle trucks to peanut butter trucks, FoodTruckrs have shown their creativity and ingenuity again and again.

4. Food trucks are fun for the whole family.

Parents of small kids know how frustrating it can be to try to find a restaurant that appeases everyone’s tastes—but food trucks often offer additional variety and a novel dining experience that can please the whole family! Food truck festivals in particular are a great way to spend an afternoon out.

5. Food trucks come in all shapes and sizes.

We also love the fact that food truck owners have so many choices when it comes to determining what type of truck they want to have. We’ve seen successful food carts, food buses, and food trucks—as well as trucks that have evolved into chains with a fleet of trucks or multiple brick and mortar locations. Your room for growth in the food truck industry is exponential.

6. Food trucks are popular.

Of course, it also doesn’t hurt that food trucks are so popular right now—it’s incredible to see how many new trucks are getting started around the country and how many people are frequenting food trucks regularly. We can’t wait to see how the industry will continue to grow over the next several years!

7. Food trucks are bringing gourmet to the streets.

People sometimes think of food trucks as casual dining on par with typical fast food restaurants, but let’s be honest—most of the food trucks driving downtown streets are serving anything but typical fare. FoodTruckrs are bringing exotic ingredients, gourmet creations, and brand new innovations to the masses.

8. Food trucks are affordable.

While many of the menu items being served up around the country could carry hefty price tags in a fancy restaurant, food trucks still manage to be highly affordable for average customers. Most food truck menus top out around the $10 to $15 mark for a full meal, despite the fact that they include all kinds of unique, high-quality ingredients.

9. Food trucks are convenient.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest benefits of food trucks is their convenience factor! Whether you’re looking for a quick snack at a festival or you need a fast place to grab lunch during a busy work day, food trucks are always there to satisfy your hunger.

10. Food trucks are starting new trends.

The food truck industry as we know it today is still pretty new, but it’s already inspiring entrepreneurs in other industries to take their businesses on the road! Small retailers, hairstylists, and others are all starting to realize the beauty of running a mobile business that comes with lower startup costs and greater flexibility.

11. Food trucks bring new possibilities.

Food trucks also allow their owners to try out new ideas and menu items with greater ease than the owner of a brick and mortar restaurant might enjoy. As a FoodTruckr, it’s easy to test out a new selling method, dish, or locale in a weekend without having to commit too much to your new idea.

12. Food trucks have created an incredible community.

Finally, we love food trucks because of the incredible community that has formed around them. We are so honored to be a part of this amazing industry full of food truck owners, food truck service providers, and food truck fans who have all come together to celebrate and support these fantastic businesses. Thank you for being a part of the food truck community and for allowing us to serve your needs!
