‘Tis the season for food truck owners to make goals for the new year. After all, 2017 is just around the corner.
If you are struggling to make new goals for the new year or simply need some guidance, then we have you covered. And remember, it’s okay to have more than one goal for 2017. In fact, it is very much encouraged. With that in mind, don’t overdo it. In other words, don’t make so many goals that you are actually overwhelmed by them, food truck owners.
In hopes of 2017 being your most successful year yet, make sure you add these goals to the list in 2017.
Gaining more customers should definitely be one of your goals for 2017, and there are multiple reasons why.
First and foremost, gaining more customers tends to lead to you selling more food, which leads to your food truck business making more money. With more money, you can update your equipment, expand by opening up another mobile kitchen, etc. Gaining more customers also leads to more people finding out about your lunch truck — it’s a chain reaction. This could lead to fortune, fame or you simply making a lot of people happy with your food.
Nonetheless, gaining more customers will help you grow your business, and that should always be a top priority.

Increasing revenue is always the goal, right? People don’t typically say they make too much money, or they wish they made less money. Increasing revenue, of course, can lead to the growth of your business. It could also lead to you personally making more money. On top of that, increasing revenue could lead to you being able to pay your employees more, or it could lead to you hiring more employees.
A business cannot function without money, which means increasing your revenue should be a goal every single year, not just for 2017.
One of the best ways to grow your food truck business (or any business) is by gaining more streams of income. While relying on one source of income is not the worst thing ever (many people do rely on one source of income, after all), knowing you have money coming from multiple streams is very reassuring, especially if something happens with one payment.
One might be wondering how a food truck owner can have more than one stream of income. You can count on the income that comes from your designated locations and you can count on another source of income from catering gigs. If you enter events, festivals or things of that nature, then you could have three income sources.
2017 is approaching fast. Make sure you are ready to conquer the new year by incorporating the three goals above. Your food truck business will thank you.
Looking to start your own food truck? Prestige Food Trucks can do wonders for you in that department.
