3 Unique Ways Food Truck Owners Can Break Up Their Days

Being a food truck owner is not a cupcake career. Sure, you might make cupcakes a time or two during your journey, but you will likely work harder than you have ever worked before. Not to mention, 60-hour workweeks will likely be the norm.

With that in mind, it is important that food truck owners break up their days better in hopes of not getting burned out. As a result, we will be unleashing three unique ways food truck owners can break up their days.

Reminder: Work-life balance is huge, no matter what industry you are trying to achieve your goals in.

3 Unique Ways Food Truck Owners Can Break Up Their Days

  • Have Something Planned With Your Employees
  • Hit The Gym/Go On A Stroll
  • Learn Something New/Read

Have Something Planned With Your Employees

Food truck owners can approach this one in a number of different ways. For example, you and your employees can plan on taking lunch at the same time every day, which will allow everyone to step away from the office (aka the food truck) for an extended period of time.

You could also plan some form of activity during the day (perhaps in place of lunch or breaks?), such as going to the park, going to the beach, going on a group walk or anything along those lines.

The choice is yours, but you don’t have to be at your food truck for every waking hour. You are allowed to be away from your business during the day — well, as long as you aren’t taking advantage of this little break.

Hit The Gym/Go On A Stroll

Instead of taking a lunch, you can go to the gym. Of course, you would either have to close down shop or have someone (such as a manager) take over while you are away. If you rather go on a walk, then that is fine as well.

The key here is not only getting away from work to keep the mind fresh … it’s to also keep your body healthy and happy. No matter what industry you are trying to conquer, you should be doing some form of exercise.

Learn Something New/Read

Whether you just want to take a break for this one or do it while you aren’t busy, it is a simple one to accomplish. Spend some of your free time during the day learning something new and/or reading. It could be fiction, an article, a magazine, menus or anything and everything relating to the food truck industry — the choice is truly yours!

This is one of the best ways you can break up your day, keep the mind fresh and grow as a person. Plus, you don’t have to leave the food truck to do it!

3 Things Food Truck Owners Can’t Forget To Do

You’re a food truck owner, and as a food truck owner, you aren’t afraid to work 60 hours a week … at minimum. While it is easy to forget about the world outside of your food truck business, you can’t forget about the outside world, especially if you plan on having some form of life outside of your business.

In the spirit of that thinking, below you will find three things food truck owners can’t forget to do.

2 Hires That Successful Food Truck Owners Should Make

A Social Media/Digital Marketing Expert: If you want to reach people/gain new customers, then you need to incorporate social media, and some form of digital marketing expert, which is why you should hire a social media/digital marketing expert.

This person will, ideally, take over your social media and marketing efforts. Not only will your business be able to keep your fans and followers engaged in the process, but these efforts will lead to more people coming to your food truck. This expert could already be on your team, or it might end up being an outside hire. Nonetheless, if another hire is in your budget … this hire will take your business to the next level.
