The best thing a food truck owner can do this time of year: End said year on a strong note.
In the spirit of that thinking, we are about to highlight five articles that will help FoodTruckrs end 2017 on a strong note, and they can be found below.
Make sure to use the strategies wherever you see fit, and we hope the information can give you the motivation and advice you need to create some serious momentum around your food truck — not just for the end of 2017 but the start of 2018 as well.
That might mean taking some of your work home. For example, creating your menus and crunching numbers while you are at home and away from all of the distractions at your food truck. This little tactic, which many food truck owners are likely already doing, could lead to you doing a better job with the food itself and serving customers. After all, instead of worrying about crunching numbers (or whatever it might be) when you get a short break at your truck at some point during the day, you can rest assured that the time to do that task is already on the schedule (for example, you solely plan on doing it from 6 to 8 a.m. in the morning).
Too many people wait until the last couple weeks of the year to reflect. In reality, people should be reflecting on a consistent basis.
Here’s why: When the process that is reflecting is taking place, you are looking at what you have done right and wrong, and then a lot of motivation typically comes out of that. That’s why so many people join a new gym at the beginning of a new year, start a new career or change something in some fashion.
However, if you are always analyzing what you are doing right and wrong — and if you are always reflecting on your current situation — then you will make changes as you go, which could lead to you saving a ton of money because you are constantly aware of how your strategies are performing at your food truck.

Everyone loves a good seasonal treat, whether it’s a dessert, a type of coffee drink or whatever it might be.
Now, not everyone’s holiday treat is going to be the same, and we’ll give you two reasons why: (1) Everyone’s food truck concept is going to be different, and it’s important to match these seasonal treats as best as you can with said food truck concept. (2) As the chef, you are naturally going to add your own unique twist.
If you really want to go all out, then you could make some form of turkey dinner meal during this time of the year (even if it is just a weekly/monthly dish). Spoiler alert: Thanksgiving-like sandwiches are all the rage nowadays.
Seriously, if you are unmotivated, start thinking about your employees, for they likely count on you to be the leader. It’s not just your personal interests you should be worrying about if you fail/slip up from time to time — you should also be thinking about your employees. After all, if your business takes a hit, everyone will likely take a hit at this startup level, if you will.
On the other hand, if your business is doing really well, then your employees will likely thrive as well in the form of bonuses, raises, working at a great environment/business, etc.

When everyone is on the same page, everyone knows what needs to be done to succeed.
Spoiler alert: The sooner your team is on the same page, and you have relayed everything to them, the sooner you will get your mind right, because uncertainty won’t be an issue — you and your team just have to stick to the plan, and success will be at the end of said plan.
