If people relied solely on motivation to do work, then nothing would get done. As a result, it’s easy to come to this conclusion: Motivation isn’t everything in the food truck industry.
Sure, motivation came into play when you first wanted to become an owner — because you likely wanted to become a food truck owner and nothing else — and it likely comes into play when you have a busy day ahead in the form of food truck stops and/or catering gigs.
However, consistency will lead you to success.
The point being, you can’t wait around for motivation to strike, no matter what industry you’re trying to conquer.
It’s your consistent efforts that got you to where you are today and will lead you to where you want to be tomorrow.
We understand that some weeks are going to be busier than others, which means some weeks there are going to be more hours you cook than others. However, there are things you can do consistently every day, such as marketing on social media, engaging with your customers on social media, inventory, and the list goes on.
Are you currently doing any kind of email marketing or social media marketing? If so, then you should also be doing Facebook Messenger Marketing! Click here to find out more.
Even doing these things, such as engaging with customers on social media and posting new content, one hour a day can add up.
In the long term, you will build a healthy following and provide more value to your customers. Of course, you will also lead more and more people to your food truck with your social media networks alone … as long as you stay consistent with your efforts.
There are times when we wake up and aren’t feeling motivated, so we skip the little things that can lead to big victories and successes in the long term, such as marketing.
There are also times when we wake up and knock out everything on our to-do lists — and then some.
Unfortunately, we can’t wait for those motivation-filled times to strike.
