The Path Food Truck Owners Should Take When They Aren’t Feeling Motivated

Editor’s Note: Today we’re excited to present a post from Jeremy Adams. Jeremy is the President/CEO of Prestige Food Trucks, which is the world’s leading custom food truck manufacturer. In his current role as President/CEO, Jeremy manages dozens of employees, interacts with clients, and maintains a healthy relationship with all of his business partners. Since Prestige, Jeremy has launched many other successful companies.

There are many different things a food truck owner can do when he/she isn’t feeling motivated, such as going for a walk, listening to music, watching motivational videos in hopes of gaining motivation and the list could go on and on.

The point being, there are many different things one can do to gain back his/her motivation. However, for the purposes of this article, we wanted to give food truck owners a path that will, ideally, help solve the problem in question, not just push it off for another day.

The Path Food Truck Owners Should Take When They Aren’t Feeling Motivated

Without further ado, the path we believe food truck owners should take when they aren’t feeling motivated: Analyze the situation and make real — and actual — changes.

Some people might think being unmotivated isn’t that big of an issue. However, if you start experiencing more unmotivated moments/days than motivated moments/days, then that is where a larger problem enters the picture.

You see, not being motivated could lead to your best work not taking place, and it could also lead to you going through the motions. Is that why you became a food truck owner … to go through the motions and battle with the act of being complacent?

Looking to take your food truck business to the next level? If so, then The Food Truck Growth Kit has your name written all over it!

Being complacent could lead to your sales dropping, it could lead to your employees not being motivated and it could simply lead to you not living your most fulfilling life.

You, more likely than not, joined this industry because you wanted to cook food for a living and you wanted to be involved in a profession you are passionate about. So, if you are feeling unmotivated for whatever reason, then that could lead to you not being excited about your days and career.

Now, a day of being unmotivated here and there is only natural, but the moment these unmotivated days start stacking up … that is when you have to make a change.

That is when you have to figure out what you really want. Why are you feeling unmotivated? What can you do to improve your situation and make this career more fulfilling? Really analyze your situation, do some serious reflecting and then make actual changes. Don’t just talk about things you should do differently here and there — take action and make your life better.

There is a reason why you aren’t as excited as you once were to cook food and serve customers, and the key is figuring out the “why.” The sooner you do that, and the sooner you take action, the sooner you will wake up excited about the day ahead at your food truck business.

While lacking motivation can be seen as a common and okay occurrence from time to time, it’s important to figure out what you need to do to make your life better. You are the business owner here, and while being a food truck owner is no cakewalk, you have the power to make this profession more fulfilling. You have the power to make your life better.
