Can you imagine a hot dog or hamburger without condiments? While both foods would still taste amazing, and would likely still be dished out at food trucks far and wide, condiments give these two classics the extra flavor that the tastebuds crave.
Condiments aren’t the main ingredients, but they are game-changers every single time. Without them, some of our favorite foods would lose a lot of lust. So, what condiments can you not live without?
Ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are classic condiments. We can add Miracle Whip into this category as well. Just imagine a Chicago Dog without mustard, a cheeseburger or corn dog without ketchup, a chicken sandwich (or any sandwich for that matter) without mayo.
These might be the basics, but they are condiments that we absolutely cannot live without.
Not everyone is a fan of hot sauce, but there are certainly plenty of hot sauce lovers out there. Hot sauce gives food that extra kick and flavor — it’s an amazing combo.
Just think of hot wings without hot sauce for a minute. Surely, wings wouldn’t be as famous as they are now without condiments like hot sauce and BBQ sauce, which we are about to get to in greater detail…
BBQ sauce is the ultimate cookout and BBQ condiment. Seriously, though, ribs would be a completely different food if they weren’t dripping with BBQ sauce.
If you take BBQ sauce out of the cookout, not as many people would show up — because we all know cookouts are about the BBQ-like foods.
Ranch and celery. Ranch and carrots. Ranch and chicken. Ranch and salad. Ranch and wings. Ranch and many fried foods. Ranch is a big deal in the food industry, folks. Therefore, it is impossible to not name off this condiment when talking about the kings of condiments.
Soy sauce makes things like sushi and rice that much better. Sure, sushi and rice could stand alone on their own, but do you really want to live in a world where you can’t dip your delicious sushi in a bowl of soy sauce? What would you mix the wasabi in?
Sriracha has been around for quite some time, but it has really made a name for itself over the last couple of years. Whether you think it is a hot sauce or chili sauce, it really doesn’t matter — Sriracha had to be included in its own category.
