Fall is coming. This means a few things. For one, the leaves are going to start changing colors (and falling), the temperatures are going to drop, the nights will become longer, the days shorter, football is back and comfort foods will now be allowed to join the party.
In the summer, it’s all about staying lean and eating light meals, if you will. In the fall, it’s all about satisfying the appetite and staying warm. Therefore, some of the best foods on the planet become more acceptable, and more enjoyable.
In the spirit of fall being just around the corner, foodies and food truck owners alike need to start celebrating. How can food lovers and mobile kitchen owners celebrate during this time of the year with food, one might be wondering? Easy. Food truck owners can start dishing out their fall menus and foodies can simply go to these food trucks and enjoy all of the delicious food that is being offered.
Nonetheless, everyone should enjoy these foods this fall.
Pumpkin spice is literally all the rage nowadays. While places like Starbucks have made the pumpkin spice latte famous, others have been jumping all over this trend. As a result of this being such a big hit during fall, things like pumpkin spice cookies, pumpkin spice pancakes, pumpkin spice milkshakes and many other pumpkin spice treats have become famous.
If pumpkin spice isn’t your thing, then, well, fall might not be your thing. In this day and age, pumpkin spice is the king of fall.
Everyone gets a sweet tooth from time to time. Luckily, pumpkin pie and apple pie are pretty popular during fall. For this reason alone, it’s easy to see why this season is many people’s favorite.
Whether you are going with store-bought pies or making them from scratch, there are going to be some happy tastebuds lurking about regardless. Why have one slice when you can have a slice of both?
Once again, the temperatures start to drop when the colorful season known as fall is here. As a result, foodies tend to flock toward stews and soups, and who could blame them? The best part about stews and soups is the fact that they are easy to make. Sure, it takes a lot to prepare certain soups and stews, but they are just sitting there for the most part, gathering loads and loads of flavor.
When it comes to options for stews and soups, the options are limitless.
Buffalo wings go great with the summer as well, but they also go hand in hand with football. Look no further than Buffalo Wild Wings to figure that one out. Not to mention, buffalo wings — well, at least the spicy version of them, because they come in many different flavors — will warm you up with every single bite.
Speaking about being warmed up from food, chili is all about that life. Not to mention, chili is a great comfort food. Basically, it fills you up and satisfies your cravings. After having a bowl of chili, which is something food truck owners should really bring to the mix, you will be ready to relax, and possibly watch some football.
Macaroni and cheese is yet another great comfort food. However, mac and cheese by itself can get a little plain, which is why people need to get creative with it. Therefore, add as many different types of cheese as you would like, and also feel free to add a good amount of meat (such as chicken).
If you want to make this dish extra festive and follow the fall trend, then butternut squash mac and cheese might be your dish.
Now is the time to really get creative. Sure, we have already provided plenty of comfort in the food department to kick off the fall season right, but there are so many different comfort food dishes out there. This is where food truck owners really need to get creative.
Whether it is butternut squash soup, meatloaf, the classic beef stroganoff or anything in between, it’s important to experiment with comfort foods during the magnificent season that is fall.
Now is the perfect time to break out all the tricks, especially if you are a mobile catering owner. With only a few more months left in the year, and fall almost here, it’s time to get really creative in hopes of hitting all of your yearly goals.
The first official day of fall lands on Sept. 22. Whether you are in the market for eating all of these delicious foods or are a food truck owner who plans on serving up some of them, make sure to make this the best fall yet, a fall that is filled with otherworldly recipes and seasonal food.
