The 12 Days of FoodTruckr: 8 Food Trucks You Should Try

On the eighth day of Christmas, FoodTruckr’s giving you…

8 Food Trucks You Should Try!

With just a few more days until Christmas, today feels like a great time to honor some of our favorite FoodTruckrs—and to share some amazing dining options with all of you who are lucky enough to be in the same city as one of these trucks! This list is definitely not all-inclusive by any means (we could never pick just eight favorite food trucks!), but it is a quick look at some FoodTruckrs that are really doing great things. Check them out below.

1. Quiero Arepas

This Denver food truck is all-natural, all gluten-free, and all-delicious. We love the Pabellon and the Queso, but we also love their commitment to the environment and their community. Quiero Arepas is powered by natural gas, supports local farmers, and uses as few disposable products as possible.

2. Basil Thyme

Washington D.C.’s Basil Thyme serves incredible homemade Italian food on the go, including five (that’s right, FIVE!) different types of lasagna. If wanting to eat delicious, hearty pasta dishes for lunch every day is wrong, then we don’t want to be right.

3. Streetza

Milwaukee’s Streetza Pizza truck is and will always be one of our very favorite food trucks. This delicious spot to get a slice has won over thousands of loyal fans with their low prices, fresh ingredients, and generous toppings.

4. Rickshaw Stop

Rickshaw Stop out of San Antonio, TX is frequently hailed as one of the country’s best food trucks—and with good reason. This family-run Pakistani food truck is absolutely delicious! We love the fact that their menu offers a lot of variety while still staying focused on the flavors and foods that their truck does best.

5. The Fat Shallot

If you’re looking for a tasty sandwich somewhere in the Windy City, there’s only one place to go—Chicago’s The Fat Shallot. This awesome food truck features delicious versions of classics like grilled cheese and BLTs, as well as a bunch of tasty creations like the Chicken Banh Mi and the Fat Shallot Turkey.

6. Bacon Bacon

Bacon is all the rage these days, but even if it wasn’t so trendy, we’d still love San Francisco’s Bacon Bacon truck (and their brick and mortar location)! Try everything—from the Bacon Grilled Cheese to the Bacon Bouquet to the Chocolate Covered Bacon. You won’t be disappointed.

7. Red Hook Lobster Pound

This list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning at least one lobster truck, and Red Hook Lobster Pound out of NYC is definitely one of our faves. Savory lobster rolls, hearty New England Clam Chowder, and incredible main course options—there’s almost too much to love.

8. Kogi

Sure, everyone already knows Kogi—but it would feel wrong to leave them off this list. The LA food truck giant paved the way for FoodTruckrs as we know them today, and if you could only ever try one food truck in your entire life (how tragic would that be?!), then we would say you should try this one.
