3 Tweaks That Might Help Your Food Truck Business Achieve More Success

  • A Tweak To Your Schedule/Routine
  • A Tweak To Your Location
  • A Tweak To Your Menu

3.) A Tweak To Your Schedule/Routine

How can a tweak to your schedule/routine possibly help you achieve more success? Simple.

A simple tweak to your schedule/routine could allow for maximum productivity.

For example, let’s say you work best in the morning. Therefore, you should do your most important tasks in the morning while your brain power is at an all-time high. Of course, we understand you can’t schedule all of your catering gigs (and normal business hours) during the mornings, but you can still do other tasks for your food truck business, such as making employee schedules, any form of paperwork, social media posts for your food truck, crunching numbers, etc.

This type of tweak to the schedule will allow you to focus in on important work when you are most productive. For some people, that is early in the morning. For others, it is late at night. It really just depends on the person.

Nonetheless, look at your schedule and see if there are any tweaks you can make in hopes of being more productive, which alone could lead to you achieving more success.

2.) A Tweak To Your Location

This is easier said than done in some cases since you can’t just park anywhere you want and whenever you want, but a tweak to your location could, of course, lead to you attracting more customers. After all, your current location(s) might not feature a whole lot of foot traffic (or tourist attractions).

You might also want to start incorporating catering gigs and going to food truck events. These types of things can lead to another source of income as well as you getting your food truck’s name out there to more people.

If you are struggling to retain, gain or attract customers, then the fix might be something as simple as finding a new location for your food truck.

1.) A Tweak To Your Menu

Now, we understand chefs don’t like to be told what to do when it comes to their menus … which is why we are going to keep this as broad as possible. You see, we aren’t telling you what you should and shouldn’t cook.

Instead, we are saying this: If some of your food items aren’t seeing as much success as you would like them to in the form of sales, then maybe you should replace them, recommend them to your customers more, do specials on those items or whatever it might be.

The point being? It’s okay to tweak your meals however you see fit from time to time. Of course, some restaurants never change their menus, and that works for those restaurants. Some restaurants change their menus on a seasonal basis, some on a weekly basis, etc.

We just want food truck owners to think outside the box when it comes to this tweak. What can you do today to make your menu better or stand out more? Can a realistic tweak to your menu lead to you attracting more customers which will lead to more sales? If so, then don’t be afraid to make that change!

We hope the tweaks above can help your food truck business achieve even more success.

Good luck, FoodTruckrs!
