What Are Your Food Truck Goals For 2018?

2019

FoodTruckrs, with a new year approaching fast, we figured we would ask you the question that so many people are thinking about.

Here it is: What are your food truck goals for 2018?

Are you wanting to achieve a lot of little things, or are you going to focus on a couple of big goals? Perhaps you have one major goal in mind?

The great thing: Everyone’s answer is different, and it’s 100 percent up to you.

There are so many different people out there who will say you need to focus on one large goal, or a couple of big goals. While we understand the importance of that — because making too many goals can get overwhelming, and it might be harder to keep track of 10 goals as opposed to three — the big thing is this: You’re the one who has to follow your goals, food truck owners. Your goals are your goals (and your food truck business’) — not anyone else’s.

Success

Stick to the strategy that works for you, no matter how many goals that strategy features.

While, yes, it is typically beneficial to create a goal that is measurable, and to also attach a deadline and some form of plan to it, once again … you are the one who has to achieve this goal, so it’s best to stick to the strategy that works for you.

With all of that said, we will ask the question once more: What are your food truck goals for 2018?

Do you simply want to increase sales? Do you want to hire more employees to make the daily grind more manageable for everyone involved? Do you want to enter more catering gigs? Do you want to expand your food truck business? Do you want to launch a sit-down restaurant on top of running your mobile kitchen? What?

The choice is yours, but now is definitely the time to get those creative juices flowing when it comes to making your 2018 goals.

As we said in a previous article, it’s important to create goals you are passionate about, and goals that will actually further your food truck career (and your business, of course). The last thing you want to do is create a goal just to create a goal. Not only is that a waste of time but it also creates an unnecessary distraction when it comes to your real goals. Plus, you will more than likely only stick with this goal for a short period of time, because you aren’t truly passionate about it.
