We all burn out from time to time, and that’s especially the case for people who are logging 40-plus hours a week (sound familiar, food truck owners?).

We think we can work nonstop, that we never have to take the foot off the gas pedal since we’re working in a field we’re passionate about. Unfortunately, the mind is not a machine. We need breaks from time to time, even if it’s just going for a walk or something more extreme like taking a week-long vacation.

We encounter burnout from time to time. They key is learning how much work you can and can’t do and to make adjustments. If you’re a food truck owner, then you need to learn how to delegate, or possibly hire more help. Owners use short-term solutions like doing everything themselves all the time, but those types of solutions won’t work forever as a result of an owner taking on more work, responsibility and stress.

The solution? Figuring out what works for you. There are many work-life balance techniques food truck owners can incorporate, but you have to figure this out on your own and also see what does and doesn’t work for you. Everyone owner and business are different.
