The No. 1 Thing Food Truck Owners Should Consider Doing In 2017

2017

How are you planning on achieving your goals in 2017, food truck owners?

Sure, there is still some time left in 2016, which means you might still be trying to figure out what you want to accomplish in the new year, but now is the perfect time to create those goals so you can hit the ground running the moment the calendar changes over to a new year.

You might want to simply have a better year in the sales department, and surely you won’t be alone when creating that goal. Nonetheless, you need to make a plan to make more money if that is, in fact, your goal. That’s the key to achieving success and accomplishing your goals. You have to create actual plans so you know how you are actually going to make your dreams come true.

Nonetheless, there is one thing food truck owners should consider doing in 2017, and that is doing more catering gigs/entering more events.

One might be wondering why.

Not only do catering gigs and events lead to a food truck owner making more money (or that is at least the idea), but they could also lead to you branching out. That alone could lead to you gaining new customers, ones that you wouldn’t have been able to reach if you didn’t branch out in the first place.2017

The best part about catering gigs (other than increasing your revenue, of course) is that you never know who you are going to meet. One catering gig could lead to another, and then another, and then another after that. Plus, you never know who is going to be at a particular catering gig, event, festival, wedding or whatever it might be.

A famous chef could be at a particular event, and said famous chef could end up trying and loving your food, which could result in you taking a major leap forward in the food truck industry. While that might sound like a pipe dream to some, it’s still a possibility.

The food truck industry is filled with people who have the same goals and dreams as you. While it is typically a friendly industry, everyone is still trying to get ahead of the competition. We are here to tell you this: If you are trying to get ahead of your competition and make some serious dough in the process, then you have to branch out. You have to get motivated. You have to do more catering gigs and food truck events.

Of course, you have to have the right personnel as well (you can’t be shorthanded at these events). You also want to make sure you are entering the right events. However, making and selling food in non-traditional ways (such as food truck weddings) is how you are going to get your name out there. It’s how you are going to grow your business. It’s how you are going to go from a startup to a food truck dynasty.

If you are looking for a new way to increase your revenue in 2017, then make sure you start doing more catering gigs/entering more events. That step alone could help your food truck business grow.
