5 Reasons We Can’t Wait for 2015

2014 was our first full year here in business at FoodTruckr, and we have to say—what an incredible year it’s been! From the debut of our “How to Start a Food Truck” series to having an episode of the FoodTruckr School podcast featured on iTunes, we’ve enjoyed a lot of amazing ups over the past 365 days.

But while this year was truly fantastic, we have a feeling that 2015 might just be even bigger and better! Here’s what we’re looking forward to in the coming months.

1. Seeing More New Food Trucks

We get a little rush of adrenaline every time we hear about a brand new food truck, and we can’t wait to see how many new entrepreneurs take their businesses on the road in 2015. Whether they follow one of our fun ideas for new food trucks or come up with their own creative business models, we just know we’ll love all the new ‘Truckrs who bring their delicious eats to the streets.

2. The Return of “How to Run a Food Truck”

We took a break from the “How to Run a Food Truck” series in November to bring you some special holiday content, but we’ll be back with more new lessons and tons of valuable business advice on the way next week! Stay tuned to the FoodTruckr blog next Wednesday to dive right back into this very special course in food truck ownership.

3. Witnessing More Mobile Businesses

During The 12 Days of FoodTruckr, we profiled a couple new types of trucks that are modeling their businesses after food trucks. Hair salons, fashion stores, and all sorts of other small retail businesses are hitting the road after seeing how successful food trucks have become, and we can’t wait to see what other types of mobile businesses these entrepreneurs will come up with in the new year.

4. Season 6 of “The Great Food Truck Race”

It’s no secret that we love “The Great Food Truck Race” around these parts—we’ve talked with a number of past winners and contestants on our podcast, and interviewed several of them for the FoodTruckr blog! This amazing show has really helped contribute to the growth and popularity of the food truck industry, and we can’t wait to see what new teams and trucks will come out of their next season.

5. Connecting with FoodTruckr Fans

Finally, we’re incredibly excited to continue connecting with all of you in the new year! Whether you’re just beginning your journey or you’re looking for ways to expand your food truck business, talking with FoodTruckr fans like you is one of our favorite parts of the day. We’re looking forward to offering more business advice, hearing more of your stories, and getting to know even more of you in 2015. Happy New Year!

We’ve truly had an amazing time at FoodTruckr this year, and we want to thank each and every one of you for playing a part in making 2014 so awesome. We’ve said it before, but a day like today makes this important sentiment worth repeating—you are the reason behind everything we do, and we appreciate your support so very much! Thank you for welcoming us into the food truck community, for sharing your stories and experience with aspiring food truck owners, and for leading our industry with your fantastic examples and thriving businesses. Here’s to a joyous and successful 2015, and we’ll see you in the new year!
