On the ninth day of Christmas, FoodTruckr’s giving you…

9 Things to Put On Your Website!

Though most of your food truck’s business is definitely taking place offline, it’s still incredibly important for you to have a professional, easy-to-navigate web presence available online. Setting up a simple website doesn’t take too much time, but it will make it easier for new customers to find you and will give current fans a convenient, easily accessible place to stay updated on the latest happenings with your truck. Here are nine important components every food truck website should include:

1. A Menu

One of the top things visitors to your website will expect to see is a menu. List out all the tasty goodness your truck has to offer to get fans excited about their next visit.

2. Photos of Your Truck

Next, show them where the magic happens! Include a few photos of your truck on your website. You should at least show people what the outside of the truck looks like so that they know what to look for on the street—but a few interior shots of the kitchen (or of your commissary) is a great way to give fans a behind-the-scenes look.

3. A Calendar

A calendar of your upcoming stops and schedule is one of the most important things of all to put on your website. How will people ever know when and where to find you without one?

4. Links to Your Social Media Pages

Let fans connect with you and stay up-to-date on where you’re heading next by linking your social media pages! Make sure these links are easy to find so that people can check out your Facebook and Twitter pages right away.

5. Your Story

Though a full biography of your truck might not be totally necessary, we do recommend adding a brief version of your story somewhere on your website. People want to know how you got into the food truck business and what you have to offer, and a quick “About Us” or “Our Story” page is a great way to let them get to know you!

6. Food Photos

Without a doubt, the best way to get people who are looking at your website to head out and visit your truck is through the use of fantastic food photos. Your delicious creations are your most valuable asset—make use of them by featuring photos prominently on the front page of your website, on your menu, and perhaps even in a dedicated photo gallery!

7. Info About Catering and Events

Are you available for catering? Does your truck ever attend festivals or events? Make this information known on your website! Your food truck could successfully book dozens of new gigs simply by listing the details of what you have to offer somewhere on your website.

8. A Way to Contact You

Make it easy for fans to get in touch with you by including a “Contact Us” page on your website. This page should include the basics—your email address, social media pages, phone number, and perhaps even a contact form where guests can send you a message directly.

9. Special Offers

Last but not least, we recommend including a few special offers on your website! Whether you have a printable coupon or a form where people can get discounts by signing up for your email list, do something to reward the special visitors who checked out your page. Best of all, it’s a great way to encourage people to head outside and make a visit your truck.
