#FoodTruckFan: Guilty Pleasures

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Mine’s a grilled cheese sandwich: bread grilled until it’s dark and crunchy, cheese that’s impossibly melty, a bit of melted butter on my fingers. As a child, the grilled cheese sandwich was my mom’s go-to meal when she needed me to just sit still for a few minutes; and now as an adult, I seek it out whenever I want to feel the uncomplicated joy of being six years old again.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and gratitude, we want to get to know you better! We’re so thankful you’re here. We’ve been working hard to chart out the direction of FoodTruckr for 2014, and you’ll be seeing more about that in next week’s featured post, but until then, it’s time we get to know one another better. I’m Mindy Holahan, one of the writers here at FoodTruckr, and like everyone else on the team, I’m a big #FoodTruckFan. I live in the Twin Cities, where we have a thriving, albeit seasonal, food truck scene.

I think that one of the best ways to get to know each other is to share the food that we love. Perhaps the greatest, simplest joy of owning a food truck is that you can include your own guilty pleasure on your menu—heck, you can build your whole theme around it! What’s your guilty pleasure menu item? What do you have on your menu, purely because you love it and don’t want to live without it?

Share your photo with us so we can get to know you better.

And that grilled cheese? It’s Dandelion Kitchen’s grilled cheese with honey butter on gluten-free bread and it was AH-MAZE-ING.
