That’s a question we’ve been pondering lately. We know why we love food trucks, but why do people who venture to food trucks love them so much?

Believe it or not, there are an endless amount of reasons to love food trucks, and we provided eight of those reasons below.

Reasons To Love Food Trucks

  • The Food They Offer Tastes Amazing
  • They Are Mobile
  • The Uniqueness Of The Food Concepts
  • You Actually Get To Meet The Chefs
  • They Are Cheap Yet Gourmet
  • They Tend To Be In Convenient Places
  • They Provide A Lot Of Freedom And Creativity For Owners
  • They Allow People To Follow Their Dreams

8.) The Food They Offer Tastes Amazing

This is probably the No. 1 reason why so many people love food trucks. From street tacos to hot dogs stands to pizza to lobster rolls to … well, you name it when it comes to food, mobile kitchen food really does taste amazing.

If you aren’t familiar with the types of food mobile kitchens serve, then make sure to check out some of the interviews with food truck owners below.

7.) They Are Mobile

This is awesome for everyone involved.

Why this is great for the customer: Because food trucks don’t stay in one place. One week, you can find a delicious food truck in a nice downtown area, and the next week you could find this same truck right outside of your office, or the gym. Food trucks move around, which means, in a sense, they come to you.

Why this is great for owners: You don’t have to be stuck in one location. Not to mention, when you own a sit-down restaurant and the location turns out being less than desirable from a foot traffic standpoint (meaning you aren’t attracting as many customers as you thought you would), you can’t just move. The opposite rings true for food truck owners. If you don’t like your location(s) for whatever reason, you can find a different location. Not to mention, you can also go to food truck events, and catering gigs are a breeze in the sense that everything is right there in your food truck. Your business, if you will, stays the same when it comes to cooking and serving food, because your business is mobile.

6.) The Uniqueness Of The Food Concepts

Food trucks provide some of the most unique foods out there. And if you don’t believe that, then you have to check out these mobile kitchens.

In a day and age when food fusion is becoming more and more popular, food trucks are taking charge. With food trucks, you will find some of the most unique — yet delicious — food truck concepts. Of course, there are also food trucks that are more traditional with their meals, and we also love that fact.

Basically, with food trucks, you can go the traditional route by eating at a food truck that you know exactly what you are going to get in the concept department, or you can try a concept that you didn’t even know was possible.

This industry, in every way imaginable, is awesome for this reason alone.

5.) You Actually Get To Meet The Chefs

When you have a fantastic meal, it’s natural to want to thank the chef, but that isn’t always possible at sit-down restaurants. However, in most cases, the person who takes your order at a food truck is the chef, making it rather easy to thank said chef for the amazing meal you just devoured.

Food is an essential in life, and when you combine that with the pleasures eating brings to the table, it’s only natural to want to thank the person who made your food.

4.) They Are Cheap Yet Gourmet

Cheap and gourmet don’t typically go together. To get gourmet food, you typically have to spend quite a bit of money, but cheap and gourmet is very much a thing in the food truck industry in the sense that you can get a gourmet meal for a lower-than-normal price.

That is because of the ingredients, because food truck food tends to be fresh, because food trucks are owned and operated by chefs who are passionate about cooking and the list could go on and on.

3.) They Tend To Be In Convenient Places

Food trucks go where the people go. They are in downtown areas where a lot is going on. They can be found at festivals and parades. They can be found in business districts where so many people work. They can be seen at weddings. They cater for parties and reunions. Basically, food trucks tend to be in convenient places, which is one of the many different reasons why people love them.

There’s nothing better than being downtown on a Friday night, wanting a gourmet meal but not wanting to worry about the hassles that some restaurants bring to the table, and being able to just go to a food truck to solve this problem.

The convenience of food trucks definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.

2.) They Provide A Lot Of Freedom And Creativity For Owners

A food truck owner calls all the shots, and this opens the door to freedom and creativity. After all, a food truck owner has to worry about managing, leading, marketing, anything relating to the food, etc.

If an owner wants to add a new item to the menu, then he/she can. If an owner prefers to work at nights, then he/she can. If an owner wants to try out a new strategy, then he/she can. If an owner wants to put in double-digit hours every day during the summer and take the winters off, then he/she can. If an owner wants to … well, you probably get the point by now — food truck owners can do whatever they want with their mobile kitchens, which means they can be as creative as they would like to be.

Food truck owners can travel to many different locations and serve the food they love to cook, and they can also serve whatever they want … whenever they want. This industry, believe it or not, is flooding with creativity, and a whole lot of happiness, freedom and people doing what they want to do for a living.

You can’t say that about every job/profession.
